RIFT VALLEY
The Rift Valley is the greatest valley
in the world, a continental fault system that stretches
from the Dead Sea all the way to Mozambique. In Kenya it
passes from Lake Turkana in the north to Lake Magadi in
the south. In between there are a series of lakes e.g. Baringo,
Bogoria, Nakuru, Elementeita and Naivasha. Lake Bogoria,
Nakuru and Elementeita boast millions of flamingoes, which
is a spectacular sight. Volcanic activities left their mark
in the Rift Valley and can be found in form of half submerged
islands, giant calderas and the distinctive cone shapes
which dot the landscape. The Rift Valley evokes a sense
of immense mystery and the power of time.

waterhole where buffalo and the graceful antelope gather
regularly, to the shimmering waters of Lake Naivasha and,

MOUNT KENYA &
THE ABERDARES REGION
These two neighboring areas are in the Central Highlands
of Kenya and have an amazing geography of contrast. The
deep green of cultivated farmland gives way to the purple-gray
scrub grass of high ranches where cattle, sheep and plains
games graze. The mountain ranges are covered with forests
with hidden trout streams. In the center is the Mt. Kenya
(5189m) - among the world's largest freestanding volcanic
mountains. The equator crosses the northern slopes of the
Mt. Kenya at 3350 meters. At the equator slight variations
of altitude create enormous changes in both climate and
landscape causing diverse weather changes. You can pass
from the cool misty forest of the Aberdares to the dry Laikipia
Plateau scenery offers different choices to the travelers
in terms of places to stay and activities. 185 kms to the
Aberdares and 250 kms to Mount Kenya from Nairobi.
MOUNT KENYA SAFARI
CLUB *****
This is the most luxurious club in Kenya - Mount Kenya Safari
Club. Founded in 1959 by the late film star William Holden,
eccentric American Ray Ryan and Swiss Financier Carl Hirschmann,

aristocracy, and the rich and famous. The club offers a
9-hole golf course, horse trekking, tennis courts, health
and beauty centre, shopping gallery and a heated swimming
pool.
114 Rooms, Suites and Cottages.
MOUNT KENYA GOLF
COURSE
2184 meters par 27 - 9 holes
Mount Kenya Safari Club is an experience that the visitor
must include in his or her itinerary. Nowhere in the world
do you come face to face with one of nature's greatest anomalies
- a snowcapped mountain lying on the equator! This exclusive
rich man's retreat opened in 1959. Despite the fact that
this is a 9 - hole pitch and putt, composed entirely of
par 3 holes, it is absolutely brutal. While the course is
laid out on one of the most beautiful and serene settings
in Africa, you have to be very accurate. The water hazards
are many and coupling with the splendid views of Mount Kenya
from virtually every hole on the course with the variety
of flowers and birds decorating it, the golfer is sure to
